Basic information about Drupal

Drupal is an open source content management system which enables users to administer their website without any knowledge of programming. It won the Open Source CMS Award in both 2007 and 2008. Every month, Drupal is downloaded by approximately 70 thousand users all over the world. Google registers about 30 million websites created in this content management system.

The main advantages of Drupal:

  • a small core (it doesn´t take up much space), which can be expanded by means of many free downloadable modules (great flexibility, the possibility of adapting the result to specific requirements – it is possible to develop a simple blog as well as an extensive professional website on Drupal);
  • user-friendly interface;
  • stability and security.
